Spring/Summer 2010

When you eat, sleep and breathe fashion then you’ll understand when I say that 2010 can’t get here fast enough!! Fashion week has long past and has paved the way for Resort Collections that have already flooded the racks at most major stores. From bold solids and playful pastels to vibrant prints, color is everywhere and all too enticing!! Valentino, Versace, Givenchy, and Alexander McQueen to name a few delivered collections that at times quite frankly had me feeling like I was having an out of body experience…and not the Shirley McLain kind. (Side bar, Chanel Pre- Fall 2010 by far topped the list and to sum it up in one word)…sick! Stay tuned.

Textures, patterns, draping, military and Grecian influences were all present. Alexander McQueen and Versace were big on prints Valentino and Givenchy…well, draped embellished, and sheer. Pastels and neutrals were also a big hit! Fashion is heading in a good direction; as we move forward don’t be afraid to embrace something different by adding a little color to your wardrobe. As they say, out with the old, in with the new!
